報告人簡介：

 LinShu Liu 博士，畢業于日本京都大學，隨后在美國麻省理工學院（MIT）做博士后工作。1992—2002年以高級科學家、首席科學家的身份先后在美國加州3家生物科技公司工作。2002年進入美國農業部（USDA）東部研究中心，目前擔任該中心的Leading Scientist。研究方向主要包括：(1)人腸道微生物群落和飲食的相互作用；(2)生物活性物質的可控遞送；(3)材料和細胞的相互作用；(4)高分子合成和改性等。

  已發表同行評議論文120余篇，會議論文200余篇，授權專利27項，出版專著8部，參加撰寫專著15章。是塔吉克斯坦農業大學、華盛頓州立大學和新澤西州立大學兼職教授，以及塔吉克斯坦科學院外籍院士。獲美國農業部“Unsung Hero”獎章（2016）、美國政府聯邦執行委員會 “杰出科學成就”金獎（ 2006、2013、2018）和“優秀公共服務”銅獎（2013）等榮譽。

報告內容簡介：

  The human gut contains a vast number of microorganisms known collectively as the “gut microbiota”. Substances delivered from the human world into the microbial world of the gut can have an impact upon the structure and function of the gut microbiota that, in turn, may have effects on its human host. The seminar presents recent research on the interaction between diet and the gut microbiota conducted by the scientists of the Eastern Regional Research Center, US Department of Agriculture.
